Hey, readers! I have a pretty important concern.
For the first time, I've been getting negative comments on Instagram. Specifically, on the reel about about Vikram's rejection from the first chapter. However, I don't think that the people who commented saw Aanandita's response in the next reel, or read the VA on any of the platforms.
I don't mind that people have commented negatively. In fact, I've always supported constructive criticism. Even now, that's the question I want to ask you all. Is Vikram truly a toxic, red-flag character? Am I promoting toxicity and negativity through my book? I would like your sincere opinions, because it never was and never will be my intention to promote unhealthy behavior.
I want to write real, flawed characters who go through interesting situations. I want to show that people can have good and not-so-good qualities, and everyone has a lifelong journey of adjusting to different people and improving themselves. I also write my stories in such away that everything is not understood immediately. My characters' behavior and personal background is slowly explained, bit by bit in each chapter. But, by no means do I want to promote negativity or misunderstanding.
Please do let me know if you have concerns about the characters in Vikram Aanandita, or any of my books! I will change the story or even take down the story if necessary. Thank you all for your support and engagement, and for helping me grow in my journey as a writer!
